About HHS

 

Founded in 2007 and based in Beijing, HHS International Cultural Exchange Center keeps ahead by being the first and largest Au pair agency in China. We are a member of International Au Pair Association (IAPA) and the World Youth Student & Educational Travel Confederation (WYSE), The HHS Center is fully dedicated to offering its participants top-quality services so that host families and au pairs may have a pleasant and worry-free experience.

 

The HHS international department is equipped with the experience and skills to aid foreigners who come to China for the first time. Our multicultural staff has a wide knowledge base, so the HHS center is able to prepare applicants for every aspect of coming and living in China as a foreigner. Our Chinese staff is bilingual and fully knowledgeable of the formal and legal procedures of coming to China. On the other side, our international staff has many years of experience living in China and can relate to those who are here for the first time.

 

Why au pair with HHS

1.     While it is fairly easy for a native English speaker to find a teaching position, visa extensions and finding an affordable apartment are often obstacles not to be underestimated. A further problem is, that as a foreigner it is sometimes very hard to get a real insight into Chinese culture, most of the expats will find themselves living in a comfortable and convenient ghetto, a small western world in the center of China.

 

2.     We have built a network of eight branches in some of the most significant cities in China and working together with overseas partners we are able to provide services to participants conveniently and effectively.

 

3.     We are constantly recruiting families that are interested in hosting foreign au pairs. We apply strict standards to the families that we put in contact with participants and only well-educated and open-minded families are qualified.

 

4.     At HHS, a young and international team is dedicated to help participants make their way to China and to make the most of their time here. We are all aware that it is still a big step to come to China and try to immerse in Chinese society and we have a broad experience concerning the fears, the typical problems and the best ways to handle these. From the first contact on, we sincerely do our very best to answer every question, remove all obstacles and personally care about our participants.

 

5.     In order to minimize the “Culture shock”, we arrange orientation classes at the very beginning of the program and we give extensive information about the main differences between the cultures, starting with orientation in the new city, public transport, food and everyday rules of politeness and important dos and don’ts in China.

 

6.     Free Language classes taught by professionals and cultural activities throughout the program help the au pair settle in to Chinese life. Immersion in a Chinese family will provide a deep insight into Chinese culture, which no theoretical education will be able to achieve.

 

 

About HHS Au Pair Program

 

There are two options for you to choose to stay with a Chinese family, both offer for 3 months, 6months and 12 months.

 

	Tasks	Stipend
Language au pair:	Help family with the English 4 hours a day while doing some light house work, which might include picking up children from school, playing with the kid.	At least 600RMB per month,
Childcare au pair:	Help the family with  children 35hours a week while doing some light house work.	At least 1200RMB per month.

 

 

Your qualification as an HHS au pair:

Age: 18-29

Language: Native English speakers from USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand or au pairs from Europe

Health: Applicants must be in good health and physically fit
Certifications: Applicant should not have a criminal record.

English Skills: Be fluent in English without strong accent (preferably native English speaker)
