Founded in 1879 by James Hadden Steer, the Steer Properties has established itself as much a part of Cape Town as Table Mountain. Today, the group is one of the leading estate agencies in the Province. Diversification within the Steer Group over years has allowed the structured development of spesialized divisions covering all their client's needs. Steer is a commercial and industrial property practitioner, focusing on the sale and leasing of properties throughout the Western Cape. They undertake evaluations and auctions of properties, as well as the management of their clients properties. Your internship will vary from assiting with weekly show houses on Sundays (14:00 - 17:00pm)to distributing pamphlets and promotional material, general office administration, as well as helping with legal tranfer documents and deed of sales. Included in your internship will be the focus of the leasing and sale of property and establishing your own client base by cold canvassing and telesales. Working for the Steer Group will not only broaden your knowledge in this field, but give you the hands on experience that will benefit you in years to come.
