Well Fountain (SA) is a community-based rehabilitation centre that provides vocational and social rehabilitation to adults with mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia. They are based in Observatory. The centre is run as a club and has a membership of over 600 people. The centre uses a psychosocial rehabilitation model and they do not offer individual or group therapy. They currently run 3 skills training groups, each focusing on specific work and skills training. The different units are as follows: Catering Unit: Cooking, menu planning, purchasing Clerical Unit: Administrative tasks e.g. computer work, postage, reception, filing Development Unit: Data capturing, banking, employment related tasks, running of a thrift shop

Students are expected to join one of the units and work alongside members and staff in that specific unit. In addition to unit work, they organise special social days, offer art and drama classes, present computer courses and manage an employment scheme for psychiatrically disabled adults with three major South African companies. Students are encouraged to get involved with a wide range of our activities as it provides them with a holistic understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation. They are able to offer students exposure to the following fields:
- Psychology in the South African contest
- Psychosocial Rehabilitation
- The Clubhouse Model
- Life Skills and social skills training
- Pre-vocational and vocational rehabilitation

Individual sessions could be arranged with members, should the student wish to practice therapeutic skills. It is however advisable that social and/or life skills training in groups will be a far more appropriate approach in their context. They employ a Counselling Psychologist who is willing to provide supervision. Students in the Social Work or Psychology fields could apply.
